Should I hire the quartet or trio? What's the difference?

For best quality and sound, we strongly recommend hiring a quartet. This not only will provide you with a fuller and richer sound, but you will also have a larger amount of repertoire!

Why does it cost so much to hire you?

For every performance, many hours of rehearsals are put in behind the scenes. This is to ensure that you have the best quality of music possible. When you hire us, you are not just hiring one person, you are hiring four of us, and we need to ensure that all of our musicians are paid in accordance with their training, effort and time.

While our prices may seem high, we are actually below industry rates while still providing a high-quality product.

What time should I book you from?

The group will arrive 15 minutes before you would like them to begin playing, allowing them to set up and start on time.

We suggest a start time of 15-20 minutes before the ceremony/function is set to start, allowing your guests to enter to the magical sounds of music.

How long should I book you for?

Most wedding clients book us for 1.5-2 hours. This will leave you with music for around 15-30 minutes before and after the ceremony.

Overtime fees are $100 per 15 minutes and is to be paid before the group leaves the premises. Keep in mind that we may have more than one event per day and book expecting some delays during your event.

How long in advance do I have to book you?

We require a booking at least 30 days in advance*. Please note that the closer we move to your desired date, we may not be available, so the sooner you book, the better!

*Funerals are excluded from this requirement. Please see "What about funerals?" for more information.

What about funerals?

As funerals often occur with very short notice, the more time you provide us with the better, but we would still love to be part of making the day beautiful for you. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we are unable to perform any song requests that are not on our available music list.

Can I book you for the ceremony and reception of my wedding?

Absolutely! If you would like our musicians to continue playing into the night, we are more than happy to do so.

We are able to play for the bridal party during the photos, or for your guests at the reception upon waiting for the bridal party to arrive.

My ceremony and reception are at two different locations, is that ok?

If you happen to have your wedding split across 2 locations, that is fine. We will provide our own transport between venues, however, this time will still be counted in your overall booking time.

Do you perform song requests?

Yes, if you and your partner have a favourite song you want to walk down the aisle to, we are here to make that dream happen. Please contact us for song request fees. Up to five new songs can be requested for events.

Please note that song requests are available at all types of events, excluding funerals.

Will I be able to hear you at my wedding reception?

Due to the excitement of the evening, wedding receptions are often loud, however, we are quite good at picking the best spot to play which allows as many people to hear us as possible.

If you wish to only have us while the guests arrive at the reception, we recommend booking us for an hour. If you desire us to be playing until you have arrived after bridal party photos, please allow around an extra half an hour for any delays.

Do you have any requirements?

• Adequate reading light

• Protection from direct sunlight, rain and wind

• No performances on or near the beach due to instrument damage risk. If you are planning a beachside wedding, we would love to play for you once your party moves off the sand.

• Suitable flat area for performance; grass or concrete preferred, gravel or rock is ok, no sand. 2.5m x 2.5m minimum area required

• 10 minute break each hour for bookings over 1.5 hours.

• A meal per musician for bookings over 3 hours

What are your payment terms?

• $300 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking

• Remaining balance at least 30 days prior to the event date

• In the event of a cancellation, payments are non-refundable. However, a full credit will be available in the event of postponement if given 10 days notice and will last 365 days.

• Overtime fees are calculated at $100 per 15 minutes

• To avoid overtime costs, please ensure you extend your booking time in advance. See above for recommended time extensions and considerations.
